Our Beliefs

What We Believe

Christ the Center

Trinity Christian Fellowship is an interdenominational congregation that keeps Christ the Center of all we do. We welcome everyone who is seeking the Lord, everyone who desires to grow in their walk with Him, and everyone who wants to know Christ in a real and personal way. We believe that God has placed us here ‘for such a time as this’ (Esther 4:14) to grow our fellowship in love and faith, to worship and witness for Him, and to act as Christian ambassadors in our community and beyond.

How We Live

Loving

Loving

Central to all we are and all we do is the fact that God loves us, individually and collectively, as His children. Our first and basic response to that love is to love God in return and to love those whom He also loves. Our worship is the purest expression of our love for God as we focus exclusively on His love for us. In worship, and from worship, we become loving in our actions and our attitudes, which is the foundation for the healthy Christian live. God is loving us, and we are loving God and one another as He commands us and equips us to do.
“For God so loved the world.” John 3:16

“Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us!” 1 John 3:1

“We love Him because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

“Love the Lord Your God…and your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:36-40

“Love one another as I have loved you.” John 13:34

Learning

Learning-crop

Loving God is not the end of the Christian life; it is the beginning. That experience leads us to commit ourselves to a life of active Christian learning because God’s way and His will for us are contrary to the ways of the world and our own natural inclinations. We have to learn a different way to live, think, and act in order to love God and others properly. The Bible is the most extensive and authoritative revelation of God and His will; so we commit ourselves to learning what the Bible says and we study together to understand what it means. Learning about God together is another expression of our loving God.

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, Jesus explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself…He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.” Luke 24:27, Luke 24:45

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29

“Devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.” 1 Timothy 4:13

“Study to show yourself approved to God…rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20

“Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.” Acts 5:42
